We worked on Carter's arrangement of Manteca for about an hour and then played through Autumn in New York and some other ballads to lay down some good recordings. In the end, though, Ben had turned up Andy's microphone too loud in trying to get it to work with Logic and so all those recordings were peaking. We reset the volume after a break and this recording is what we made at the end of the night.
