Our last rehearsal before the gig at Black Creek. We cranked out the tunes and checked some things in the list to make sure they were solid. We were joined on this particular evening by Pauls Father-in-Law Jaime Diaz Panduro. We worked out Dos Almas, a Latin standard (a Bolero) with him at the end of this rehearsal. Mostly Justin and Ben had to figure out the chords on the bridge for this tune. Chase had to leave early, so the last few songs, from 1-2-3 onwards do not include him sadly. Paul had suggested we try putting the microphones somewhere else closer to the sound of the band and thats what I did for this recording. We sound a lot more even and the horn sounds balanced into the sound now. Its a much better place for the mic for next time.
